Sclerotherapy involves a series of small injections into unwanted visible veins. Compression stockings, worn for a short time after these treatments, may decrease reappearance of troublesome veins.
Effective vein removal requires 2 – 4 treatment sessions, spaced about 4 weeks apart. We’ll also evaluate for the presence of larger, feeding veins. The presence of large varicose veins affects the course of treatments in smaller veins. Our clinical staff will discuss these issues during your consultation.
